This brilliant patience-teaching combat focused title manages to deliver an interesting story, with excellent audio and voice performance. A must play!
What's good
What's not so

Play as the "destined one", based on Sun Wukong from the Journey to the West novel, and the inspiration for Son Goku from Dragon Ball (Yep!). Wield a big stick, master a whole bunch of moves, find your play style to beat a generous collection of enemies throughout beautiful landscapes, while aura-farming with sick drip and gear.

From a relatively small studio, the combat feels so satisfying to pull off. The sound design across the game is brilliant, featuring some sick beats, and songs.
Tying it all together is masterful story telling across 6 well defined "chapters", each featuring a beautiful animated story segment in the beginning, and powerful relic-wielding boss at the end, and a "must do" optional hidden quest-line for special items.
The lore goes deep. A must recommend for just the lore itself.

Notable bosses include (in chronological order):

Recommendation is to be appropriately levelled, learn more skills and abilities when facing the first time. There's countless guides available for each boss fight too.
Platinum requires 3 playthoughs unfortunately, but it's a breeze in New Game+ (till +3) according to sources. NG+4 gets harder again once you acquire all relic abilities. NG+ is definitely fun as you get to easily bonk bosses you'd trouble in first playthrough.

Cannot beat that monkey aura.
