This open-ish world outlaw adventure set after the events of Empire Strikes Back has some hits among classic ubisoft slop.
What's good
What's not so
If you're checking this out for story, don't. None of the characters or story plot-lines are memorable enough — quite standard story of heists and betrayals.
There are a bunch of "AAA" worlds to explore on speeder and ship though.

A few cameos and appearances here and there don't really save the story about a thief surprisingly good at handling syndicate and imperial "goon-squads".

The galaxy between the events of Episode V and VI is an interesting time period for the story to take place, however other than siding with rebels during some missions, logs and by-lines not much lore is explored.

The protagonist, Kay with the adorable, mischievous Nix spend the game doing fetch, raid or delivery quests for four different crime syndicates across four explodable planets (or moons) and their orbits.

The worlds are distinct enough, ranging from fan favorite desert planet Arakis Tatooine, with some classic places to land-at and explore like Mos Eisley and Jabba's palace.

Then there's a tropical rainforest world, Akiva.

And a massive city in frozen planet, Not Hoth Kimji, with a dangerous orbit filled with icy-stormy clouds and asteroids.

We start the story on the casino planet Canto, before the story takes us to an original game moon of Toshara in the outer rim.

Gosh, the food in the galaxy is expensive!

200 credits for this!?

At least Han is having fun, eh?

By far the best part of the game is the mini-game of Kessel Sabacc, it's well crafted and the AI is smart enough to trick you when you least expect it. There's cheats and progression via finding major game altering shift-tokens, turning the simple "best-draw" game into a strategy battle worth spending hours in.

One DLC centers around a high stakes game of Sabacc (fun!) before turning into a shoot-em-up. The other DLC centers around a pirate treasure with the one and only Hondo Ohnaka, and introduces the best looking orbital exploration in the game.

Overall, a fun 30-40 hours of exploring, pew-pew-ing and sabacc gambling, even though it crashes a couple of times nearly two years post launch.
