This was scary and fun to play alone the first time. Even better to play with friends the second time to watch their reactions. Horror B-movies as a create-your-own-adventure video game is turning out to be better than a well written 90-minute horror flick.
What' good
- Fun story and outcomes
- Great cast
- Atmosphere
- Sound effects
What' not so
- Cliched characters
- Lack of accessibility options
A must play, even Sony will tell you that, as it is now a part of the free "essentials" you get with a new console.
Take control of a group of standard horror movie characters and either watch them die a gruesome death due to you not being able to press the damn button in the brief amount of time, or survive till dawn.
Featuring a cliched cabin-in-the-woods in snowy winter environment, a wide range of casting and motion capture performances, this is a great 6-8 hour experience depending on how many characters survive muahahahaha.
So you want to survive...
Until Dawn
Great idea to split from the group and enter a shed, it will totally be alright, it's not like we're in a movie or something.
Finally a to-scale moon! All moons look gigantic in games, imagine if they had gravitational physics outside the player viewport.
Uh huh. Wait till you meet the, uhh, spoiler.
Scare the cheerleader, save the group?
