Indie fighter plane action combat title. Quite fun even if not as refined as Ace Combat. Includes a few VR missions!

Project Wingman

Another fun little "fighter plane go brr" game. Not bad for being built by a small team.

While the visuals can be a bit too saturated, overexposed and too extreme at times, it runs decently enough.

VR mode supports PS VR2, complete with headset vibrations and haptics. Enjoyable, but only for short durations. Motion sickness prone folks kindly stay away.

The story is set in an alternate future post-nuclear-apocalyptic earth (yay, original). 432 years after the "calamity", we're about to do it all over again. Welp!

Another day, another bomb!

Most of the game is orange, littered with fireballs.

Standout missions include:

• 07: Eminent Domain, where you fly low over seas targeting ships, and cruise missiles.
• 09: Stepping Stone, a solo "spy" mission at night
• 11: Cold War, not "cold" at all, a classic "dogfight"
• 15: Consequence of Power, no win scenario against "cordium" nukes

Overall, quite nice. Although I won't be playing it again unlike Ace Combat, which is more entertaining to visit once in a while.
